I consider myself a storyteller...one picture at a time. Working in fashion and filmmaking has given me the opportunity to travel the United States and Europe. I have met fascinating people the world over and have a marvelous visual record of those meetings, which I treasure. On each journey I immerse myself in the local culture, making memories that shape both my identity and my artistic vision. Despite language and cultural barriers, I have found that many experiences and emotions are universal. My observation skills--honed through my travels--are one of my most valuable tools as an artist. They allow me to capture those tiny moments in life that might otherwise go unnoticed: a stolen kiss, a passionate embrace, a heartfelt laugh. Life to me is made of these moments, strung together like pearls over a lifetime. My goal is to capture images that allow others to recognize and share these experiences. Ultimately, I know I am lucky to do what I love. I am thankful for that every day.

In my twelve years behind the lens, I've developed a philosophy of photography that is founded in creative and artistic storytelling.  Coupled with my sensitive and perceptive personality, the camera is the perfect window to allow me into others' lives, stories and emotions to record their visual history.  My BFA in photography and MA in photojournalism have provided me with the skills to work with magazines, newspapers, galleries and a diverse range of clients.  My photography has won awards and been featured in numerous publications, but the greatest satisfaction comes from stories of how a particular image has affected someone.  Hearing that I captured the certain smile of a special grandfather, or the glowing reflection of love in a couples' eyes is the greatest compliment.  Those images are what I strive for every time I look through the lens.
